Day 02 | Munnar

Begin with a visit to the Munnar Tea Museum at 9:00 AM, where you can delve into the history of tea plantations, witness tea-processing demonstrations, and savor a freshly brewed cup of tea. Spend about an hour here soaking in the charm of Munnar’s tea culture.Next, head to Eravikulam National Park, a breathtaking sanctuary home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Here, you can enjoy stunning views of the rolling hills and explore the park using the shuttle bus service. This visit will take approximately two hours.

Around 12:30 PM, proceed to Mattupetty Dam, known for its serene reservoir and tranquil ambiance. Take in the picturesque scenery and enjoy some time for photography before heading for lunch. After lunch, visit Kundala Lake, a serene location ideal for pedal boating and enjoying the scenic surroundings. Spend an hour here before continuing to Shooting Point, a popular spot for film shoots with lush greenery and stunning landscapes. Enjoy the journey through winding roads, lush greenery, and picturesque tea and spice plantations.Arrive in Thekkady around late morning and check into your hotel. 

Post-lunch, you can choose to visit either the Elephant Junction or the Rose Park, depending on your interest. At Elephant Junction, you can interact with elephants, watch them being fed and bathed, and, if you wish, enjoy an elephant ride. This activity is both engaging and offers insights into the care and life of these majestic creatures. It’s a unique and memorable experience, especially for wildlife enthusiasts. Alternatively, head to Rose Park, a great destination for adventure activities and family fun. Here, you can try zip-lining, cycling, or other outdoor activities amidst beautiful natural surroundings. It’s an ideal spot for thrill-seekers and those looking to add some excitement to their day.
